CRC Established/Founded in 1995 by Sylvia Loch | Working together for the benefit of horses everywhere!
| |
Who Founded CRC? You may never have heard the name Sylvia Loch before - and why should you? The horse world is very big and I started riding in a very ordinary way - first ponies, then hunters and so on. It was always a mystery to me how certain riders could do this or that with their horse and make it all seem so easy. | | That was what took me to the heart of Europe back in the early 1970s and enabled me to work with the last great Riding Masters at a time when so many seemed inaccessible. I pursued that path over many years, and still today, learn from every horse I school. Fortunately, I found I could write, and over time, published 6 best selling books on Classical Riding and ten instructional films. Almost unconsciously, it became my mission in life to teach all the many intricate manoeuvres and techniques taught to me and pass them on to others, with clear explanations into modern terms. |
I then linked up with several teachers and dressage trainers who felt the same as me, and with their help we formed the Club. Had we not started this movement, I believe it would have died. It has taken strong belief to travel this far. As a non profit-making Club, we are pleased finally to see a Resurgence in Classical Equitation throughout the world, but even today - beware of false prophets. One must walk the walk as well as talk the talk. The schooling of horses requires a lifetime's learning. By becoming a Member - you too can share in that rich heritage - gain support and help us spread the Word. Our priority is to stamp out Abuse and to bring back Joy into Riding... for the sake of the Horse. Please see Sylvia's Biog for more insight. |
