Latest From CRC We are delighted to have enrolled over 200 new Members this Summer. We also hope all our previous Members will remember to renew their Subs which have been hugely reduced in price to help everyone through this economic downturn. The next Newsletter will be heading your way around 15th September and will include many comments and pictures from our 15th Anniversary Event Lusitano Breed Show - Hommage to Liz McCurley (1927-2010) Friends and Members of both CRC and the LBSGB stood for a minute's silence at the Annual Breed Show on Saturday 28th August to mark the sad passing of Liz McCurley. Not only was Liz a Founder Member of the Lusitano Breed Society under Sylvia Loch's Chairmanship when the first Board Meeting was assembled in 1982, she was also an important Founder Member of CRC when it was first put together in 1996. CRC 15th Anniversary Event CRC is proud to announce that it enjoyed a full house for its 15th Anniversary Event held on Sunday 11th July at Myerscough College, Lancs. Thank you to all involved and especially to our guest Trainers Mary Wanless and Heather Moffett, who with Sylvia Loch, presented a very full programme of lecturing, training and riding. We are indebted to all our "guineapig" riders and horses who so enthusiastically participated.... namely Dr Pat Smith, Sam Cook, Yvonne Brookes, Jo Oakes, Sue Durkan, Loretta Boswell and Helen Kettleborough. Also a big thank you to Portuguese rider and Trainer Pedro Neves for a beautiful display of in-hand work. Some photos from the day have now been added to the Website and can be found in the Public Library. Sylvia Loch's Latest Book Sylvia's first (non-horsy) novel was officially launched at CRC's 15th Anniversary Event and is available at a discounted price under our Merchandise section.
