Interpretation of "Classical": My philosophy is i) for the horse - Physically: to be schooled with gymnastic exercises to enhance the musculature to gain maximum freedom and flexibility of the back to produce balanced supple paces, gradually working towards the maximum of the horses abilities. Mentally: to encourage calm confidence and obedient responsive attitude to the aids. ii) for the rider - Physically: to obtain clear harmonious aids to enhance the feeling and understanding between horse and rider, encouraging a well balanced seat to the best of their abilities. Mentally: to promote an understanding of the horses balance and locomotion for correct aid application, thus producing a rider who is considerate and generous of spirit in the education of the horse.
