Interpretation of "Classical": Classical dressage considers the whole horse (mental and physical), it is a system of gymnastic training that encourages the horse to be light, supple and strong enough to carry us. In a world that expects fast results this systematic gymnastic work allows a horse to carry itself with elegance and to perform movements that are seen when the horse moves at liberty under its own energies. Classical training develops the true ability to dance together as a partnership with a lightness that can truly be called art.

Complaints: I have never had any complaints against me for the training and schooling of any horse or rider.

Interpretation of "Classical": Classical for me means correct training without force or gadgetry.  Improving the horse’s natural paces and enhancing them.  Creating a great partnership of horse and rider in harmony.  Lightness of movement and sympathetic understanding of the horse.

Interpretation of "Classical": Classical riding and training should be about partnership between horse and rider. The rider, with a quietly adhesive and elegant seat, applies aids that are all but invisible to the onlooker. Force has no place in classical equitation and respect for the horse as a living, sentient being is paramount.
